Our Testimonies

Jeff

I was saved in 1993 at a tent revival in my home church in MO. The next summer, 1994, I went on my first missions trip with my youth group to New Mexico It was there, seeing the need and being involved, that God began to touch my heart. One evening in the meetings we sang "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back". I began to think, I am saved, but have I ever decided to follow Jesus totally in my life. I went back to the dorm room after the service and began to read and pray. God was touching my heart and as I began to read Is. 41:9-20, God spoke to my heart about being a missionary for Him. That night I gave my life totally to Him. I was 16 at the time. I went back home and my pastor began giving me opportunities to preach.

I finished high school and then went to Crown College. During my second year I went to Peru for 6 months and God taught me many things about missions. I went back and finished my studies at Crown, praying God would direct me exactly to the country He would have me to go. After praying much and studying, God placed Argentina on my heart. I graduated from Crown in May of 2000 and got married in June of 2000. We immediately began our deputation and then went to Peru for almost 2 years for language and preparation.

We arrived in Argentina on January 21, 2004 and stayed in a hotel while looking for a house, vehicle, and church building. God gave us everything we needed in a short amount of time and on March 21, 2004 we held our first service at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in La Plata.

In September 2004, God gave us the opportunity to begin the Grace Baptist Church in Quilmes, a city 45 minutes away from La Plata.

On March 1, 2005, we began the first classes in the Macedonia Baptist Institute with a group of young men from all parts of Argentina. We are expecting great things from our Lord and are seeing His hand work strong in the country of Argentina. From here in Argentina, the goal is the same as our Saviour's goal - reach the world with the Gospel!

Mindy

I grew up in a Christian home in Brownsville, Indiana. I accepted Christ as my Saviour when I was 8 years old. In my childhood I don't remember wanting to be anything but a missionary. When I was 14, I surrendered to the mission field. After completing high school I attended Crown College. During my second year there, I spent 6 months in Peru as a student learning about missions. I met my husband at Crown College and in June of 2000 we were married. We now have 3 little girls and are excited about what the Lord has called us to do here in Argentina.

About Argentina

Argentina is a beautiful country known for the gauchos, the meat, and the big city life But what many do not realize is that Argentina is a FORGOTTEN country.  In a country .of roughly 40 million people, there are very few independent Baptist churches. The Lord has given us a command - "GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD". We are the only missionaries in the Southern end of Buenos Aires, a city of approximately 14 million people. We are working in La Plata with a population of 1 million people and no other Independent Baptist ministry.  Because Buenos Aires, Argentina is a melting pot of Chinese, Russians, Italians, Ukranians, Hungarian and many others from the border countries, we are praying that the Lord uses us in this country to train others to go back and reach their own people with the Gospel. The heartbeat of God is souls and we desire with all our heart to have His heart as we serve Him here in Argentina.

Our Goals

These are the goals that the Lord has laid on my heart for this city of La Plata, Argentina.

We are praying for this and working towards these goals.

  • Win Many More Souls
  • Plant strong, Independent, Baptist Churches
  • Plant a full-time Bible College to train people from all over.
  • Train pastors, teachers and workers to reach Argentina, South America, and the world
  • Christian Day School
  • Radio Ministry
  • Bus Ministry
  • Children and Teen Ministry
  • Deaf Ministry
  • Camps for all ages

Doctrinal Statement

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the  Scriptures which make up the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments of  the Holy Bible, are the verbally inspired, inerrant, Words of God, ( 2 Timothy  3:16; Matthew 4:4) and that the Scriptures are providentially preserved, kept  forever by Almighty God without error or omission. (Psalm 12:6-7; Isaiah 40:8) We believe that a Christian’s only rule for what he is to believe about God and how he is to serve Him, must be Scripture alone. (Luke 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) We believe that the Scriptures should be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. (Proverbs 30:5-6).

THE GODHEAD

We believe that there is one true and living God, ( 1 Timothy  2:5; 1 Thessalonians 1:9) the Creator of all things, ( Revelation 4:11) and that He is a Trinity: One God, existing in three eternal  Persons: (1 John 5:7)  Father, Son and Holy Ghost. ( 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew  28:19 )

CREATION

We believe that God created the heavens and the earth in six  literal days, (Exodus 20:11; 31:17) and that on the sixth day, He created man, (Genesis 1:26-31) and that man was made in the image of God, sinless and  perfect. (Genesis 1:26-27)

THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that God gave man a free will, and that man chose  of his own free will to sin against God by disobeying Him. (Genesis 3:6) We believe that through Adam’s Original Sin, sin entered into  the world, and that every human being has inherited Adam’s sin nature and thus,  is a sinner by nature and by choice. (Romans 5:12) We believe that sin brought suffering and death into the  world. ( Romans 5:12; Genesis 3:16-19)

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the eternal Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ,  (Mark 1:1) became man without ceasing to be God, (John 1:1, 14 ) being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, and born of a  virgin, (Matthew 1:18; 1:23) and, that He lived a sinless, perfect, life on earth. (  Hebrews 4:15)  We believe that Christ died for our sins, according to the  Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the  Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ) We believe that Christ ascended into Heaven, (John 20:17; Mark  16:19) and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, making  intercession for us. (Romans 8:34) We believe that, one day, Christ will return to judge the  living and the dead. (2 Timothy 4:1)

LAST THINGS

We believe that the rapture of the Church will take place  before the seven-year tribulation period, (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18;  Revelation 3:10) and that after the seven-year tribulation period, Christ will  return with His saints to rule and reign for one-thousand years in a literal,  earthly kingdom.  (Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 20:1-6)

THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE

We believe that eternal life is a free gift of God, ( Romans  6:23) and that men are saved only by the Lord Jesus Christ, (Acts  4:12) by grace alone, through faith alone, (Ephesians 2:8-9) in Christ alone, ( Acts 16:31; John 3:16) and not by the church, works, sacraments, water baptism, or  moral reformation. (Titus 3:5; John 14:6 Acts 4:12) We believe in the eternal security of every believer. (John  10:27-30)

HEAVEN AND HELL

We believe in a literal Heaven for the saved, (2 Corinthians  5:1-8; John 14:2; Hebrews 12:22-24) And a literal Hell with literal fire for the  lost. (Luke 16:19-28; Matthew 5:29,30)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit of God baptizes every believer  into the body of Christ at conversion, (1 Corinthians 12:13) and that He dwells in every believer, ( 1 Corinthians 3:16) and that every believer is sealed by Him unto the day of  redemption, (Ephesians 4:30) and that every believer should be filled with the Holy Ghost  so that he may have power to serve God. ( Ephesians 5:18; Acts 4:31)

THE CHURCH

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Head of the church,  (Ephesians 5:23) and that every Christian should be a member of, and faithfully  attend, a local, independent, Bible-believing, church. (Hebrews 10:25 ) We believe that every local church should have only two  officers: pastor and deacon, (1 Timothy 3:1, 10) and two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s supper. (Matthew  28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

WATER BAPTISM

We believe that water baptism is for believers only, and not for infants, or for the unsaved, (Acts 8:36-37) and that it is to be administered by immersion of the whole  body in water and not by sprinkling or pouring. (Acts 8:38-39)

CONCLUSION

We believe that every Christian should be involved in the  cause of world-wide missions, (Matthew 28:19) and be a personal soul-winner. (Mark 16:15; Proverbs 11:30)

April Prayer Letter 2007

The Lord has given many blessings here in Argentina throughout the last few weeks.  This week we had to leave our rented building that we had rented for 3 years.  We were almost saddened to leave the building where many memories and great things had taken place, but on our last service in the building, we had a time of singing and testimonies and many stood and shared how they were saved, baptized, became members, and made big decisions for the Lord in this building.  Without a doubt, this service of tears and rejoicing in the great milestones of our lives was one of the greatest services God gave us in the rented building of La Plata.  Until we get a building up on the land that we are making payments on, we will be renting a Salvation Army building for church services.

From the months of June to January our family will be going on furloughWe will be visiting churches and are booking now to fill up our calendar.  If your church would like us to stop by for a meeting, we would be honored to share what God has done with the missions dollars you have invested.  The souls that have been won and the lives that have been changed are a mark that our Lord wants His name spread throughout the ends of the earth.

The Lighthouse Baptist Church has purchased land, but will be in a rented facility until the Lord raises the money to pay the land and begin the construction.  You can see pictures of the land on our web page (www.reachingall.com) and keep up with those who have given to help us as the Lord provides for the land.  So far, since November the Lord has provided $19,850 of the initial cost ($85,000) through people that have a heart for missions.  Most of this has already been used on the first payment. Our next payment of $20,000 is due in May. Please pray with us that the Lord will provide for this payment.  If you would like to help, we would love to share more with you on how to help in this big need.  Please e-mail us at bush@reachingall.com or contact us at 770-456-5667.

Last Sunday in the Lighthouse Baptist Church of La Plata, we were able to see 5 people baptized in the morning service and 13 people added to the church in the evening service.  This Sunday, there will be 9 more added to the Grace Baptist Church in Quilmes, Argentina.  We are excited what God is doing in both churches and need your help praying as we go forward for the Lord.

Here to Serve,

Jeff and Mindy Bush and family
