Doctrinal Statement

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the  Scriptures which make up the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments of  the Holy Bible, are the verbally inspired, inerrant, Words of God, ( 2 Timothy  3:16; Matthew 4:4) and that the Scriptures are providentially preserved, kept  forever by Almighty God without error or omission. (Psalm 12:6-7; Isaiah 40:8) We believe that a Christian’s only rule for what he is to believe about God and how he is to serve Him, must be Scripture alone. (Luke 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) We believe that the Scriptures should be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. (Proverbs 30:5-6).  We believe in and only use the KJV in the English language.

THE GODHEAD
We believe that there is one true and living God, ( 1 Timothy  2:5; 1 Thessalonians 1:9) the Creator of all things, ( Revelation 4:11) and that He is a Trinity: One God, existing in three eternal  Persons: (1 John 5:7)  Father, Son and Holy Ghost. ( 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew  28:19 )

CREATION
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth in six  literal days, (Exodus 20:11; 31:17) and that on the sixth day, He created man, (Genesis 1:26-31) and that man was made in the image of God, sinless and  perfect. (Genesis 1:26-27)

THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that God gave man a free will, and that man chose  of his own free will to sin against God by disobeying Him. (Genesis 3:6) We believe that through Adam’s Original Sin, sin entered into  the world, and that every human being has inherited Adam’s sin nature and thus,  is a sinner by nature and by choice. (Romans 5:12) We believe that sin brought suffering and death into the  world. ( Romans 5:12; Genesis 3:16-19)

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe that the eternal Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ,  (Mark 1:1) became man without ceasing to be God, (John 1:1, 14 ) being conceived by the power of the Holy Ghost, and born of a  virgin, (Matthew 1:18; 1:23) and, that He lived a sinless, perfect, life on earth. (  Hebrews 4:15)  We believe that Christ died for our sins, according to the  Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the  Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 ) We believe that Christ ascended into Heaven, (John 20:17; Mark  16:19) and now sits at the right hand of God the Father, making  intercession for us. (Romans 8:34) We believe that, one day, Christ will return to judge the  living and the dead. (2 Timothy 4:1)

LAST THINGS
We believe that the rapture of the Church will take place  before the seven-year tribulation period, (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18;  Revelation 3:10) and that after the seven-year tribulation period, Christ will  return with His saints to rule and reign for one-thousand years in a literal,  earthly kingdom.  (Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 20:1-6)

THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE
We believe that eternal life is a free gift of God, ( Romans  6:23) and that men are saved only by the Lord Jesus Christ, (Acts  4:12) by grace alone, through faith alone, (Ephesians 2:8-9) in Christ alone, ( Acts 16:31; John 3:16) and not by the church, works, sacraments, water baptism, or  moral reformation. (Titus 3:5; John 14:6 Acts 4:12) We believe in the eternal security of every believer. (John  10:27-30)

HEAVEN AND HELL
We believe in a literal Heaven for the saved, (2 Corinthians  5:1-8; John 14:2; Hebrews 12:22-24) And a literal Hell with literal fire for the  lost. (Luke 16:19-28; Matthew 5:29,30)

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God baptizes every believer  into the body of Christ at conversion, (1 Corinthians 12:13) and that He dwells in every believer, ( 1 Corinthians 3:16) and that every believer is sealed by Him unto the day of  redemption, (Ephesians 4:30) and that every believer should be filled with the Holy Ghost  so that he may have power to serve God. ( Ephesians 5:18; Acts 4:31)

THE CHURCH
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Head of the church,  (Ephesians 5:23) and that every Christian should be a member of, and faithfully  attend, a local, independent, Bible-believing, church. (Hebrews 10:25 ) We believe that every local church should have only two  officers: pastor and deacon, (1 Timothy 3:1, 10) and two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s supper. (Matthew  28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

WATER BAPTISM
We believe that water baptism is for believers only, and not for infants, or for the unsaved, (Acts 8:36-37) and that it is to be administered by immersion of the whole  body in water and not by sprinkling or pouring. (Acts 8:38-39)

CONCLUSION
We believe that every Christian should be involved in the  cause of world-wide missions, (Matthew 28:19) and be a personal soul-winner. (Mark 16:15; Proverbs 11:30)
